In this course, learn practices, principles, and mindsets that drive focused-innovation and creativity in a corporate environment. In this hands-on, team-oriented course, you’ll define the strategy, propose success metrics, envision a product, and user test an example product to surface hidden assumptions. You will role-play user research interviews, build personas, and write scenarios to experience end-to-end product discovery.
Participants learn key principles of user-centered design and apply them to an example project over two days. Graduates gain a better understanding of how to measure project success and how to translate what they learned in class into the real world. After two days, participants leave this class with practical experiences, insights, and pragmatic tools to apply the practice of collaborative design into their day-to-day work.

In this course you will:
Work in teams of 3-4 people on an example project where you'll apply key practices, principles, and the mindset of the design-thinking process
Experience the the end-to-end product cycle: frame the problem, articulate a strategy, define a balanced set of success measures, practice user research, build personas, write scenarios, brainstorm, create storyboards, build prototypes, and conduct user tests
Learn how to use experience outcomes as measures of success
